RentFair explains the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 (NSW), the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (Qld) and related rules in plain English. Everything on this site is general legal information — it is not legal advice, and using RentFair does not create a solicitor or client relationship.

Letters, reviews and prep packs we generate are templates built around the Act. Before you send or rely on one, read it, replace any missing details, and check the details are right for your situation. AI-generated answers and documents may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional advice.

You must have the right to provide any material you upload or enter. You remain responsible for your prompts and your use of generated results. You retain rights in your own content and may use your generated documents; you permit us to process your material only to provide the service. If you believe content infringes your rights, email admin@rentfair.com.au for review. We may remove infringing material and restrict repeat infringers.

You can ask 2 questions a day without an account, or 5 a day with a free account. Other free tools (such as letter previews and the free lease check) have the daily limits shown on each tool. Daily limits reset at midnight Sydney time.

• 7-Day Pass — $9.90 AUD, one payment. Unlimited questions and letters for 7 days from purchase. It does not renew.
• Membership — $20 AUD per month, renewing automatically each month until you cancel. Includes unlimited questions and letters, one detailed lease review per monthly billing period (unused reviews don't carry over), and NCAT prep packs at $9.95 AUD each.
• Detailed lease review — $14.90 AUD, one payment, one detailed review.
• NCAT prep pack — $19.90 AUD ($9.95 for members), one payment, one prep pack (each pack you build uses one).

"Unlimited" questions are subject to fair use: up to 50 questions a day per account, which is well beyond what one renter needs. Prices include GST where applicable. We'll give members at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the membership price, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Your membership starts when your first payment is made and renews every month on the same date. We charge the payment method you used at checkout at the start of each monthly period. You can cancel anytime from your account page ("Manage or cancel membership"). Cancelling stops future charges; your membership stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, paid features pause until the payment is made, and the membership ends if it remains unpaid.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card details. Receipts are emailed to you after each payment, including membership renewals.

For refunds, including a change of mind, see our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms removes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

RentFair is for your own personal use. You must not use it unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe others' rights, to create illegal or abusive content or deceptive deepfakes, or to interfere with its security (including malware, probing or scraping). Do not attempt to bypass safeguards, generate harmful instructions, resell the service or circumvent payment. We may filter outputs, remove content and suspend or terminate access for material breaches, non-payment, security or fraud risks, or repeated or serious violations.

We own RentFair's software, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the tools within the access you have purchased. Keep your account credentials confidential and your details accurate. You may delete saved content in your account; if access ends, contact us promptly if you need help with your data.

We work hard to keep the information current, including changes to the law, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change. When the law changes, we update the cited content — you should always check the current wording of a section you intend to rely on.

To the extent permitted by law, RentFair is not liable for losses you suffer from relying on the site's information or generated documents instead of professional advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Australian law, including your consumer guarantees.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
